This article has been created for those of you interested in sustainability, the purpose is to inform you about the growing opportunities in the broad field of sustainability and the benefits these experts bring to organisations and wider society.

As the world continues to face the effects of climate change and the need to reduce emissions and improve sustainability, the demand for sustainability experts is projected to increase significantly. The International Labour Organisation (ILO) estimates that there could be 24 million green jobs created by 2030. Linkedin’s Global Green Skills report notes that the share of green talent in the workforce increased from 9.6% in 2015, to 13.3% so far in 2022 (a growth rate of 38.5%).Fig 1 shows a growing trend in developed countries’ hiring rates for green jobs from 2017.
